Who runs this
FastScribe is built and run by Jackson, one person with a server. There is no growth team, no sales funnel, and no AI startup behind it. When something breaks, the person who built it is the person who fixes it.
Where your audio goes
Your files run on our own hardware. We do not pass your audio to a cloud transcription service: the machine that turns your recording into text is one we own and control. Uploads travel encrypted, and the audio file is deleted the moment your transcript is ready. We keep your text, never your sound.
Why the free tier is really free
Your first file needs no signup because you should see a transcript before you trust us with an email address. Owning the hardware makes free files cheap to serve. People who transcribe every week outgrow the daily limit and buy Pro, and Pro pays for the machine.
